Privacy

Electron Lab is made by Version2 Apps (version2apps.com). It is built for children, so it is built to know as little about them as it can. This page says exactly what is stored and where.

If you use Electron Lab without an account

Nothing about you leaves your device. Your name (if you type one), your progress, your circuits, programs and robots are kept in your browser’s storage on that device only. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

What we count

We count anonymous visits to see how many people use Electron Lab: which page was opened, roughly which country, and the kind of device and browser. This uses no cookies and cannot identify you or follow you to other sites. There are no adverts and no advertising trackers.

If you have an account

Accounts are for parents, and for teachers at schools and robotics centres. They are being introduced gradually. An account stores:

We do not ask for a child’s email address, surname, date of birth, photo, address or location, and Electron Lab has no chat or messaging.

Who can see it

We do not sell or share this information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is kept

Account data is stored with Supabase, a database provider, in the United States (US East). The site itself is served by Vercel. Both act only on our instructions.

Your choices

Children

A child never creates an account themselves: a parent or a teacher adds them as a learner. Schools and centres are responsible for having whatever permission their own rules require before adding learners.

Changes and questions

If what we store changes, this page will change first, with a new date at the top. For any question, or to ask us to remove data, get in touch at version2apps.com.
